June always makes me feel that I am halfway to a certain destination, which I suppose is December. Before that May was like a month of preparation with the iconic 1st May and Dragon Boat Festival celebrations. After that, July is a bit like sliding towards the inevitable August month when the mercury peaks and everyone flees Hong Kong for cooler pastures elsewhere.
